SPORTSMANSHIPA father in the stands sends a violent verbal barrage across the playing pitch in the direction of the referee. At the same time his student-athlete hangs his head and walks to the bench. Or, two parents from opposing teams get in a physical altercation while the players from each school battle it out on the field. If the American sports world has had any fumbles on the goal line it has been in the area of sportsmanship. Parents, players and fans must be educated and motivated to demonstrate sportsmanship before, during and after the game.
