Appe-Type Theory is at the core of all our training tracks. It is our philosophical approach to management and teamwork. The theory begins with the premise that every member of your team has been created unique. And, over time, they have created unique and specific Appe-Type preferences for their how they want to work and play. The theory goes on to state that if we can allow our team members to work and play in those unique preferences they have a greater chance of success.Let's do a project. Take a piece of paper and draw a line down the middle of the page. On one side put "Employee A" at the top and on the other side "Employee B." We'll call Employee A your shinning star employee. We'll call Employee B your falling star. Put a real name for each employee. Now, list out the reasons you put "A" on the shinning star side and list the reasons you put "B" on the falling star side.In most cases when people are asked to do this the put "character" issues as reasons for the shinning star and for the falling star. Underneath each name record what you know about the following "preferences" they have:1. What is their preference for gathering information?2. What is their preference for making decisions?3. What is their preference for resolving conflict?4. What is their preference for interaction with society?5. What is their preference for structuring their life and work?6. What is their preference for receiving and giving feedback? You ability (or inability) to answer these questions determines how you work with these employees. If you know their preferences and allow them to spend the majority of time working in those preferences you can assure their success potential.Email us today for how the Appe-Type Theory Workshop can improve your team performance.
